We read the label before we start
Most fabric couches carry a cleaning code under a cushion or on the base. It tells us whether the fabric is safe with water, needs a solvent, or should be left to a dry cleaner. We also test a hidden spot to check the colour holds.
If your couch should not be wet cleaned, you will hear that before anything is done.
Big modulars and formal lounges
Larger homes in Eatons Hill, Warner and Bridgeman Downs often have a big modular in the family room and a second, less-used lounge out the front. The family one usually needs the most work on the seats and headrests. The formal one may just need a refresh to lift dust and a stale smell.
We can do both in one visit, and you can pick which pieces matter most.
How the clean goes
Upholstery holds water in the foam, so we keep moisture low the whole way through.
- Vacuum seams, crevices and under the cushions
- Pre-treat the arms, headrests and marked areas
- Gentle extraction with an upholstery tool
- Cushions stood up or turned to help them dry
Leather, velvet and delicate fabrics
Leather, suede, velvet, linen and silk blends each need a different approach. Send a photo of the piece and its label with your quote request and we will tell you honestly whether it is a job we can do in your home.
